2026 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Performance

The 2026 Corvette Stingray coupe and convertible are powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 producing 490 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque in standard form, while the available Z51 performance package adds an extra 5 horsepower along with an electronic limited-slip differential. Non-Z51 cars can also get a 5-horsepower boost with the available Performance Exhaust. All power is routed through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that offers lightning-fast up and downshifts.

In the hands of Car and Driver magazine, the Corvette Z51 was able to power to 60 mph in only 2.8 seconds and fly through the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at 122 mph. For comparison’s sake, Ferrari says their $500,000 12Cilindri V12 supercar with 819 horsepower gets from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.

Selecting the Z51 package not only adds horsepower and the eLSD, but also larger brakes: 13.3- and 13.8-inch front and rear brake rotors with four-piston Brembo monobloc calipers. The standard Corvette brakes are still quite large at 12.6- and 13.3-inches front and rear, with two-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo monobloc calipers.

No matter the model you choose, the Chevrolet Corvette comes with 245/35ZR19 front and 305/30ZR20 rear tires that grip the road better than anything you will ever feel. All Corvette models are available with Magnetic Selective Ride adaptive magnetic suspension dampers that adapt to the Tour, Sport, and Track driving modes.

With the addition of Performance Traction Management (PTM), drivers can set up their Corvette to perform flawlessly in specific conditions on the racetrack. When in Track mode, drivers can access 5 settings: Wet, Dry, Sport 1, Sport 2, and Race. You can also use PTM to access launch control. PTM also works with the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) to analyze track data.

For 2026, Chevrolet has taken PTM to a whole new level with the introduction of PTM Pro. Turning on PTM Pro allows the Corvette to have traction and stability control systems disabled while leaving ABS turned on. This allows for maximum attack and less computer intervention when in a track setting.

Exterior 

With the move to its mid-engine layout, the Corvette was able to be styled like never before. With a front and rear trunk, the Corvette offers a combined 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space. A unique aluminum structure allows the Corvette to be extremely stiff while maintaining its lightweight characteristics. Chevrolet engineers even created the first-ever curved rear bumper made from carbon fiber.

The Stingray is offered in 10 unique colors, including Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic paint options that are new for 2026. The 2026 Corvette also introduces new Edge Red and Carbon Flash full-length center stripes to go along with the option of Stinger Stripes and front fender hash mark stripes.

Buyers can further choose from nine wheel designs for their Corvette coupe or convertible, available in multiple color variations.

All Stingray coupes have a removable body-colored targa roof as standard, with the option to purchase a transparent roof or a carbon fiber roof with a body-color surround.

Convertible models offer a standard body-color roof and rear nacelles. However, a Carbon Flash-painted roof and nacelles are also available, as is a body-colored roof with Carbon Flash-painted nacelles.

Interior

The 2026 Corvette Stingray interior has been redesigned to offer a more “asymmetrical” style, according to Chevrolet designers and engineers. A unique flat top/bottom steering wheel highlights the tech-packed cabin, which offers two deep, heavily bolstered sport seats. Chevrolet offers a range of color options, and buyers can even opt for the Ultimate Suede interior package that covers nearly every service in microfiber suede.

The Stingray offers three seat options: the standard GT1 bucket seats in 1LT cars, while 2LT trim levels offer the option of GT2 buckets, which add carbon fiber trim. And 3LT cars come standard with GT2 seats. All trim levels can be optioned with the race-inspired Competition Sport bucket seats. And, for those who like a bit of weekend track action, the 2026 Corvette Stingray 3LT can now be optioned with a Competition Sport driver and GT2 passenger seat. This allows your ride-along partner to have a comfortable place during normal driving, while you, the racer at heart, have a racing bucket seat. Buyers can choose between 28 seat color variations for ultimate customization.

For 2026, the large plank of buttons is gone. Instead, the center console has been designed to feature the HVAC controls under the new center touchscreen. The volume knob is now larger with a lighted base for easier access. The drive mode selector has been placed behind the gear selector for quicker access. In its former place, there is a new wireless charger.

The cupholders have also been redesigned for better use with ambient lighting, and Corvette crossed flags are at the bottom. 2/3LT trims offer real aluminum.

Technology

The 2026 Corvette is now equipped with a standard 12.7-inch center touchscreen infotainment system with a 14-inch driver information display, alongside an all-new 6.6-inch auxiliary touchscreen just left of the steering wheel that controls various vehicle-specific settings, such as PTM Pro. The system brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OnStar, Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, ten speakers, and more. Higher trims add navigation and an upgraded 14-speaker stereo.

The infotainment screen is a responsive unit with bright, crisp graphics. Snappy operation aside, Chevrolet’s infotainment software is intuitive and quick to use with new Google Built-in, making driving less distracting.

With Google Built-in, the driver and passenger can access unique apps such as Google Chrome, HBO Max, Prime Video, GameSnacks, and more through the Google Play Store.

Safety

It comes standard with a rear parking assistance system, and Chevrolet offers a range of advanced driver-assist features, including blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, a head-up display, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a surround-view camera system, and more.
