Performance

Motivating the 2026 Z06 is the midship-mounted, custom-built LT6 5.5-liter V8 with dual overhead camshafts and a flat-plane crankshaft, rated at 670 horsepower and revving to 8,600 RPM. The crankshaft is developed to balance piston bank-to-bank airflow while maintaining a low rotational inertia. An eight-speed dual-clutch transmission sends power to the rear wheels.

This driveline delivers some impressive performance numbers. It has been tested to run a 0-60 MPH sprint in 2.9 seconds and run the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds at 131 MPH. It also clocked a run on the famed Nürburgring course in Germany in just 7:11.826 minutes.

Simply put, the 2026 Corvette Z06’s performance goes beyond the engine. The standard suspension set-up is already tuned for the twisting roads ahead. That starts with the Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0, which reads the road and adjusts accordingly within 10-15 milliseconds, whether on the road or the track. Six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes are standard on the 2026 Z06.

However, track enthusiasts can dial everything up by adding the Z07 Performance Package. This package includes ultra-performance Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and Brembo carbon ceramic brakes.

You can also dial in the driving experience you want through the drive mode selector on the center console. Drive mode selections include Tour, Sport, Track, Weather, My Mode, and the ultimate level of driving excitement – Z Mode. This allows you to access the Performance Traction Management system for maximum grip on the road or track.

Exterior

The move to a mid-engine layout for the Corvette brought new opportunities in styling and design. Chevrolet morphed the 2026 Corvette Z06’s long, sleek body into a new, equally impressive shape, featuring a low hood and a muscular rear end to house the roaring V8 powertrains.

The 2026 Z06 features a widebody design with gaping air intakes and beefy rear fenders. It also rides on 20- or 21-inch wheels. The 2026 Z06 is available with a carbon aero package for maximum downforce.

Interior

The 2026 Corvette retained its iconic two-seat layout with the move to mid-engine, and its interior is easily one of the nicest in Chevrolet’s lineup. A unique flat top/bottom steering wheel highlights the tech-packed cabin, which offers two deep, heavily bolstered sport seats. Chevrolet offers a range of color options.

The center console received a major update for 2026, enhancing its driver-focused cockpit. It is cleaner by design and function. All controls and buttons are canted toward the driver for a more focused experience.

Technology

The 2026 Corvette Z06 is equipped with a larger 12.7-inch touchscreen and a 12-inch digital gauge. The system brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, ten speakers, and more. Higher trims add navigation, wireless phone charging, and an upgraded 14-speaker Bose audio system. A wireless charging pad is now standard on all 2026 Z06 models.

New for 2026 is Google Built-in integration. It enables you to use Google Assistant to access apps and controls using your natural voice. You can also add apps from the Google Play Store to enhance the experience in the 2026 Corvette Z06.

The infotainment screen is a responsive unit with bright, crisp graphics. Snappy operation aside, Chevrolet’s infotainment software is intuitive and quick to use, making driving less distracting. Included on this larger screen is an enhanced Performance Data Recorder, which provides data analysis, speed tips, and a side-by-side video analysis of your laps. This screen also houses the Performance App, giving you all the data you need to adjust your driving experience.
