2025 Updates for Silverado 1500, EV, and HD Models

Chevrolet has been busy introducing new trucks and redesigning existing ones these past few years. They take a bit of a breather for the 2025 model year regarding significant new introductions, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any changes. Twin Falls Chevrolet looks at what’s new for the Bowtie’s full-size trucks.

Silverado 1500

The Silverado 1500 gains mostly some additional standard features on select models and some additional colors. A 20-inch High-Gloss Black wheel option is now available on most trim levels. Cruise control is now standard on the Work Truck trim, and the LT and higher trims now come standard with a trailer brake controller. The 7-speaker Bose Premium Audio system and Front and Rear Park Assist have been added to the ZR2 standard feature list. New colors for the 2025 Silverado 1500 include Cypress Grady and Riptide Blue.

Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD

The Silverado HD models just had their major mid-cycle update the previous year, so 2025 mostly sees an adjustment of feature packaging and the introduction of a Trail Boss Package. For the feature adjustments, we will start with Front and Rear Park Assist, which is now standard on the HD ZR2, and availability has been expanded to the WT, Custom, and LT trim levels. Adaptive Cruise Control is now standard on the High Country, and a black-out appearance package has been added for the HD Custom mode. The HD Midnight Edition will now have its fenders filled with 20-inch wheels.

The new Trail Boss package will be available on the LT and LTZ trims. Included in the package are:

• The proven Z71 shocks and suspension package
• Unique 20-inch black wheels with BF Goodrich KO3 tires
• Blacked-out front and rear bumpers, trim, and badges
• Red recovery hooks
• Trail Boss bed decals

The Trail Boss package models will have a 6.6-liter gasoline V-8 as the standard engine, with the 6.6-liter Duramax turbo diesel available as an option. Both engines will be paired with the Allison 10-speed automatic transmission.

Silverado EV

When the Silverado EV launched, it was available in just two colors: Black or white. The EV model now has a full palette of colors available, including:

• Slate Gray Metallic
• Habanero Orange
• Blue Smoke Metallic
• Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic
• Riptide Blue Metallic
