Camaro ZL1 NASCAR Race Car Set to Debut New Look for 2026
Since 1955, Chevrolet has been NASCAR’s most successful manufacturer in the Cup Series, holding records for the most race wins (over 881), numerous Driver Championships (33), and the most Manufacturer Championships (44). This includes a streak of five consecutive years up through the 2025 season, during which Chevrolet won 15 of 36 races. Although the Camaro is no longer available at Twin Falls Chevrolet or any other Chevrolet dealership, the model will continue to compete in the NASCAR series in 2026.
The latest edition Camaro ZL1 racecar showcases refreshed styling that beautifully matches Chevrolet’s new Camaro ZL1 Carbon Performance Package accessories kit, making it easier for owners to boost the performance of their sixth-generation Camaro ZL1. Chevrolet has worked closely with NASCAR and its teams to bring this exciting update to life.

The most noticeable updates to the racecar include a larger hood with a power dome, a refreshed front grille, and more defined rocker panels. These features beautifully reflect the new Carbon Performance Package’s stylish carbon-fiber hood insert and rockers, along with the ZL1 1LE-style front grille and splitter.

As mentioned, the changes to the ZL1 race car align more closely with the Carbon Performance Package that can still be applied to sixth-generation ZL1 Camaros. The package features:
- Carbon fiber rocker extensions
- Carbon fiber rear wing
- Carbon fiber power dome insert
- ZL1 1LE Spec front grille and splitter
- Carbon fiber end caps
- Tech Bronze wheels ( a package add-on)

The package was developed by a team of Chevrolet performance engineers using computational fluid dynamics modeling and simulation, followed by conducting real-world track testing at the GM Milford Proving Ground.
Available on ZL1 models from 2017 – 2024, and starting at $17,495 (without wheels), the package is not cheap, but it can make your existing Camaro look and feel like a new car. Chevrolet states that the added body pieces provide a 361% increase in downforce at 155 hp, which the 650-hp, 650 lb-ft of torque 6.2-liter V8 LT4 engine is certainly capable of achieving.

The new ZL1 debuts on February 1st at the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC. Twin Falls Chevrolet looks forward to supporting the Camaro throughout the 2026 season and is eager to help current Camaro owners transform their cars into something very much like what they see on the track. Contact the Twin Falls Chevrolet Parts Department to inquire about the Carbon Performance Package for your Camaro.
