July 20th, 2025 by

2025 Chevrolet Suburban vs. TahoeThe Chevrolet Suburban was introduced as a new type of family vehicle 90 years ago. It was introduced to take larger families on the road in comfort and space. The Tahoe became part of Chevrolet’s large SUV lineup in 1994 as a smaller version of the Suburban. It offered loads of space for up to eight passengers and their goods.

For 2025, both the Tahoe and Suburban have been updated with new exterior and interior elements. They also include a more powerful Duramax 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel, now offering 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

They looked at the differences in power, fuel economy, interior space, towing, and price to guide consumers who are trying to determine which large SUV to choose.

The 2025 Tahoe and Suburban offer the same powertrain choices. The standard engine is a 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8, with the 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 and the 3.0-liter turbocharged Duramax diesel as options. There is also a choice of rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, and all engines get a 10-speed automatic transmission.
