Chevy Colorado Wins MotorTrend Truck Of the Year
The all-new Chevy Colorado has won MotorTrend’s Truck of the Year award for the third time, making it one of the most successful vehicles ever tested by the magazine.

Who Are MotorTrend?
As one of the oldest surviving and most prestigious American car magazines, MotorTrend was first published in 1949 and has celebrated its Car of the Year in various fashions since its inception. The first-ever award went to the 1949 Cadillac V8. Starting in 1978, they featured Truck of the Year as a standalone award category. The 2015 Colorado, 2016 Colorado Duramax Diesel, and now 2024 Colorado have all won TofY.

A Message From MT
“The Colorado lineup’s performance on- and off-road, particularly the ZR2’s prowess, is nothing short of exceptional, rivaling even some of the most revered off-road vehicles available,” said Ed Loh, MotorTrend Group Head of Editorial. “Earning MotorTrend’s Truck of the Year award is a testament to the Colorado’s all-encompassing excellence across various terrains and utility needs.”

How Colorado Won
Thirteen other trucks competed against the Colorado for 2024, and the Chevy took out the competition by standing strong in the review criteria, including safety, advancement in design, and performance of the intended function.

A Word From Chevrolet
“We are absolutely thrilled to see Colorado take home the MotorTrend Truck of the Year award,” said Scott Bell, Vice President of Chevrolet. “The all-new Colorado boasts elevated performance, capability and refinement in every respect, across every trim offered. This award is a testament to Colorado’s mantra: it’s made for more.”
