Styling isn’t the only reason people buy cars these days. In fact, more people are focused on what kind of sound system and infotainment screen their vehicle has than how it looks. An infotainment system can ultimately make or break the love one has for their vehicle. Sometimes, the best cars can’t overcome a frustrating user interface of the manufacturer’s in-car technology. However, Chevrolet has ensured that their cars not only feature some of the top safety and driver-assist features but also have an incredibly easy and intuitive infotainment system.

Annual Best Infotainment

One of the leading automotive review and news websites, Autoblog.com, has an annual best car infotainment feature where they choose their favorite and perceived best infotainment systems on the market. After careful testing and deliberation, they put their favorites into various categories, such as best overall, best luxury, best non-luxury, and a few honorable mentions. This year, they chose the GM infotainment system as one of the best on the market.

Best Non-Luxury Infotainment

In the non-luxury car infotainment category, it wasn’t difficult for Autoblog to pick the infotainment system in Chevrolet cars, trucks, and SUVs because of its no-nonsense ease of use. Basically, it just works. It doesn’t try to make you feel ridiculous or force you to spend 3 hours attempting to figure out how to turn the station or access your phone.

What Autoblog Said

Regarding their preference for the Chevrolet system, Autoblog said, “Beyond the Google Built-In features, GM’s interface is an easy one to navigate with easily understood stickied controls on the left side of the screen. We’re particularly big fans of the radio interface GM has designed that makes it one of the easiest in the industry to find the station (or game on Sirius XM) you’re looking for. The tile interface and split-screen capability makes moving about the system and keeping tabs on multiple things at once a breeze. And just like the Volvo infotainment, we appreciate the continued presence of a hard volume knob and in some cases, a physical home button that’ll bring you back to square one from anywhere within the system.”
