Celebrating 250 Years of America With Chevrolet Heritage Ad Campaigns

America and Chevrolet go together like cookies and milk. For many years, the Chevrolet brand has celebrated its American roots, notably through a variety of unique advertising campaigns.
A Classic Ad
One of the most famous ads was “See the USA in your Chevrolet,” which became an extremely popular song on the Dinah Shore show in 1951. It was normal to tune in to her show and see her announce and introduce new Chevrolet models throughout the 1950s.
A New Twist on A Classic
To celebrate 250 years of America, Chevrolet has brought the old tune back, with country artist Brooke Lee singing and playing guitar while sitting on the tailgate of a 2026 Silverado ZR2 atop the Castleton Tower in Castle Rock, Utah.
A Word from Chevrolet
“We live in a world with incredible technology that could have done this stunt artificially, but it was really important to Chevy that everything was authentic,” said Chevrolet Chief Marketing Officer Steve Majoros. “A real helicopter brought a real truck up on top of that magnificent rock. The laughing boys are father and son. The couple cruising in a Corvette is married. The gasping girls are best friends and soon-to-be sisters-in-law. The dancing couple are engaged. The photo under the St Louis Arch is a real family. Even the dog has a close bond with the family in real life. Chevy is all about honoring the real moments between real people and being the vehicle that becomes part of the family.”
It’s A Tradition to Have a Chevy on Castleton Tower
Putting the Silverado on top of a mountain is the third time this has been done. In 1964 and 1973, Chevy put a new Impala atop the 1,400-foot Castleton Tower for both television and print advertisements.
Who Is Brooke Lee?
With Brooke Lee handling the modern take on the classic song, this puts the Charlotte, NC, native country artist front and center, showcasing how country music is at the heart of every Chevrolet vehicle. Lee currently resides in Nashville, TN, and is a singer and songwriter with recent hits including “Burn To Black,” “Dandelion” with Lukas Nelson (son of Willie Nelson), and “So Beautiful.”
A Word from Brooke
“It’s surreal to collaborate with Chevrolet and put my own voice on an iconic song my grandparents know by heart,” said Lee. “It’s a dream come true to collaborate with a brand I admire on a campaign celebrating our beautiful country, and I’m having a blast driving the same Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 that appears in the spot on tour all over the US.”
Wonderful Cities Are Showcased
Throughout the video campaign, you will see drivers moving through Mt Shasta, CA, Redwood National Park, CA, St. Louis, MO, Nashville, TN, Florida Keys, FL, and New York, NY, in a Silverado LT Trail Boss, Equinox, Equinox EV, Traverse, Corvette, and the Trax.
